Climate-controlled storage in Bahrain

If you're looking specifically for climate-controlled storage, here's the short answer: every unit here is air-conditioned and dehumidified around the clock, with sensors tracking temperature and humidity — and it isn't a premium tier, it's the only kind of unit we have. The published monthly price already includes it.

What 'climate-controlled' means here

AC that never switches off

The air conditioning runs 24/7 — nights, weekends, and all of August — and sensors track the temperature the whole time.

Dehumidified, not just cooled

Cool air alone doesn't stop mold — dry air does. Dehumidifiers pull moisture out of the air continuously, which in Bahrain matters as much as the cooling.

Included in the published price

There's no climate-controlled tier and no upgrade fee — every unit in the building is conditioned, and the price you see is the whole bill.

What climate-controlled storage costs

The same as our regular storage — because there is no unconditioned kind. A medium unit that fits a one-bedroom flat's contents starts at BHD 38.75 a month, conditioning included, with no deposit, no admin fees, and no lock fee. Monthly prices in BHD are on the storage units page.

What heat and humidity do to stored things — and how to pack against them

Wood and furniture

Humidity swings make wood swell and shrink until joints loosen and panels warp. Even in a conditioned unit, leave wood pieces a small air gap from the walls and from each other.

Electronics

Moisture corrodes contacts and circuit boards long before you can see any rust:

  • Store TVs and monitors upright, never flat
  • Original boxes are best; otherwise wrap in breathable material, not sealed plastic
  • Remove batteries — they leak in heat

Paper, photos, and fabric

Mold needs moisture, warmth, and time — the dehumidifiers take away the first one. Do your part too: launder textiles before storing (body oils feed mold), use breathable covers instead of sealed plastic, and keep paper and photos in boxes off the floor.

Climate control questions

No. Every unit is air-conditioned and dehumidified — the published monthly price includes it, and there's no other tier to upgrade to.

Dehumidifiers pull moisture out of the air continuously, and sensors track humidity day and night — so damp never settles on your things, even in Bahrain's summer.

Yes — 24/7, with temperature and humidity sensors watching around the clock. Conditioning that switches off at closing time isn't climate control.

No — that's the dehumidifiers' job, and they run continuously. Breathable covers on fabric and an air gap around wood are still good practice.

For anything with wood, fabric, paper, or electronics — yes. A few humid weeks are enough for mold to start in a closed, unconditioned room.
